vision-johnJohn Schubach (Cresta)
• John qualified at Rand Afrikaans University in 1992 with a B.Optom degree and has been in private practice for past 15 years.
• He completed the CAS course in advanced diagnostics and therapeutics in 1996, from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, USA.
• In 2000 he enrolled and graduated in 2002 with a Masters degree in Business administration (MBA) from the Gordon Institute of Business Sciences.
• John started working at Vision Optometrists in 1989 as a student for (then) Wilcox, Du Toit and Thoroldt practice.
• He bought the current practice in 1999 where he practices as an Optometrist and is a partner.
• He is currently a Director of the South African Optometric Association.
• "I thoroughly enjoy Optometry, the technology and the human interaction. Making a difference in people’s world is what makes my work so satisfying."
• In his free time he enjoys the triathlons, golf, fishing, cooking, wine and spending time with family and friends.
• John is married and has two young boys.
• John has the following core Optometric interests:
    Challenging contact lens fittings with a special interest in hard contact lenses
    The management of Keratakonus
    Eye diseases and infections - diagnosis and co-management with Ophthalmology
    Clinical medicine, systemic health and the ocular interactions
    Dry eye diagnosis and management

vision-junillaJunilla Gabel (Cresta and Zambezi)
• Junilla qualified at Rand Afrikaans University (UJ) in 2004 with a B.Optom degree and has been in private practice for past 3 years.
• In 2005 she enrolled with UNISA, studying a B.Comm Management.
• In May 2008, she completed a CAS cerificate in 'Advanced Study in Binocular Vision, Pedriatic and related areas, theoretical and clinical application including Performance Vision'.
• Junilla started working at Vision Optometrists in 2002 as a student for (then) Classic Eyes Cresta.
• She joined the team permanently as an Optometrist in 2004 and is a partner.
• "After Matric I wanted to become a navigator, but due to my poor eyesight, I was not accepted for the course. I then decided then to do optometry – where I currently enjoy being part of the Vision Optometrist™ family".
• In her free time she enjoys gardening, painting, spending time with her family and friends, as well as, snorkeling & water sports.
• Junilla has the following core Optometric interests:
    Paediatric Optometry
    Binocular Vision and Visual Therapy
    Contact Lenses

vision-wernerWerner Noëth (Cresta)
• Werner qualified at Rand Afrikaans University (UJ) in 1995 with a B.Optom degree and has been in private practice for past 12 years.
• He then completed a speciality Sports Vision qualification again at UJ in 2002.
• Werner started working at Vision Optometrists in 1993 as a student for (then) Classic Eyes Cresta.
• He joined the team permanently as an Optometrist in 1998 and is a partner.
• "The best part of my day is being empowered to help and solve visual problems and the special relationship that one generates from those interactions."
• In his free time he enjoys the outdoors, game hunting, scuba diving, 4X4-ing and Boxing.
• Werner is married and has a daughter
• Werner has the following core Optometric interests:
    Contact lenses
    Speciality Rigid hard lenses
    Sports vision
    Complex refractions and specific visual needs

vision-yolandeYolandé Prinsloo (Cresta)
• Yolandé qualified at Rand Afrikaans University (UJ) in 2001 with a B.Optom degree and has been in private practice for past 6 years.
• Yolandé started working at Vision Optometrists in 1999 as a student for (then) Classic Eyes Cresta.
• She joined the team permanently as an Optometrist in 2003 and is a partner.
• In her free time she enjoys the theatre, music, movies and the outdoors.
• "I enjoy working with people and for me the most fulfilling part of my work is to improve the quality of life for patients by giving them the best possible visual aid available. The optometric industry evolves extremely fast and trying new products and procedures keeps my work exciting".
• "A nice jog in the brisk morning air gives me energy and there’s nothing like a good glass of red wine on a lazy Sunday afternoon to unwind. I am inspired by God, nature, family, friends and of course, the love of my life."
• Yolandé is married.
• Yolandé has the following core Optometric interests:
    Contact lens fitting and solutions for patient’s specific needs
    Ergonomics, modern day visual needs
    Dry eye management
    Children and Teenagers

vision-marleneMarléne Jacobs (Cresta and Zambezi)
• Marléne completed her B.Optom degree in 2008 at UJ (University of Johannesburg). 

• Prior to that, she started working at Vision Optometrists (then Classic Eyes) in 2006 as a student.

• Marléne joined the Vision Team permanently as an Optometrist in the December of 2008.

• "If helping someone is the only thing we do, everyday will be a successful one".

• "In my free time I like going to the movies, visit my family and friends and go to the farm - just to get away from the city rush."
